Ascorbic Acid 1 oz.

A form of Vitamin C, Ascorbic Acid is commonly used in winemaking to prevent oxidation. It normally only takes about a tsp. per 5 gallons and is used prior to the bottling stage.

Ascorbic acid acts as a natural preservative by preventing oxidation.  It is sometimes added during filtration, just prior to bottling.
